A hotel is a unique environment. You leave the privacy and comfort of your home and trust that the next place you rest your head is clean, comfy, and provides you a sense of belonging. Earlier this week I asked for your questions and you sent in some great ones – Ready, set, GO!

What item is mostly commonly left behind at a hotel?

Cellphone chargers. What is their aversion to being tucked safely away in our luggage? According to our lost and found department most chargers are found either plugged into the wall or laying on the bed. Forgot yours at home? Ask the front desk when you arrive at the hotel to borrow one – chances are they will have a few boxes for you to choose from!

Where’s the pool?

Just down the hall way from the front desk, located within the Health Club.

How do I get the best rate for a hotel room?

Most hotel brands offer a pre-paid option. For Hilton it is called Net Direct. When a guest pre-pays for a room then they most often times receive a discount off of the room rate. Why? Because the reservation cannot be altered nor cancelled, so this assures the hotel that you will be arriving. Adventurous? Try Twitter or Facebook to find a hotel that suites your needs and start a conversation.

What is the secret to getting the nicest room?

When you make your reservation be sure to enter into the comments everything you want – king bed, non smoking, view of ocean, ect. The more a hotel knows about your likes/dislikes the easier it is to accommodate your needs. When you check into the hotel – ask! Or if you are celebrating an occasion tell the front desk agent about it and ask for the best room. Join Hilton Honors – the more times you stay with brand the more points you earn the more perks you see coming your way.

How can I purchase the beds? They are fantastic!

Enjoy!
